love this one. Thanks for the beautiful view. The balance of the photo is great. Good eye.

By the way, I`ve eaten in that sushi resturaunt before. but the is a better one closer to unviersity.

Isn`t it funny how the glass above the stores looks nicer than the store fronts themselves. I wonder why they would spend the money to add that beautiful glass to that old building and not bother to fix up their own shops to look a bit nicer? Maybe they had no cash left.

Again wow! you should be Toronto's official photographer... Tourists would flock to this city after looking at your pics.. they seem to truly capture its essence... Thanks

Beautiful colors, but the tower looks a little odd. Did you correct the perspective or is it the kit lens?

Posted by Balázs at October 20, 2004 05:00 AM

I have to agree with Balázs - I think the perspective correction may have gone a little too far here. When I saw this the tower jumped out immediately as looking 'off' as well as the grid of window line on the condo in the background. That being said, I still enjoy the reflection and the marginalized shop signs below.

just beautiful!

Just terrific.
Isn't this Queen West or did you move the CN Tower?

I like this shot a lot. And teh color of the sky is excellent, too :)

Another very nice image... I think the thing that I like most is the contrast between the older buildings being reflected in the window and the new buildings that hold the reflecting glass. And like the others who commented on the perspective being altered, I have to agree that the tower does look skewed, but overall, I find the correction pleasing. Nice work.

beautiful reflections.

that looks a lot like Queen West.

the cn tower looks like a cardboard cut out. this pic looks as phony as the ones on your rivals "generic photos" site!

Tutti fruitti, glass, old building, wall, all about the time and life and ,,,nice contrast.

I absolutely LOVE the way you capture this city I adore so much. Thank-you for the time you put into your ddoi... I appreciate you sharing your photos with the world. (Your shots of Iran are stunning, as well!) Please keep it up!

Cool shot, i guess, but it's ugly.

Posted by Q at October 20, 2004 09:55 AM

I think that if you're going to the trouble of doing selective masking, you should probably do a better job of getting rid of the white around the edges. I agree with whoever said this one looks fake. You probably should've just left it alone.

wow! That's a mega great reflection capture!

Posted by Liisa at October 20, 2004 12:04 PM

beatiful, because of contrast between reflected building and the modern one behind it!

Your site came up in a conversation about blogs at the Photo District News Forums (http://www.pdngallery.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=001217). I just wanted to chime in about the guy with too much time on his hands that made the parody site. WTF?

Posted by Brooks at October 20, 2004 12:27 PM

So which one is the "old" building? That one with the mirror glass can't be more than 10 years old. So how's it going with the parody site btw?

I liked your previous photos with less distortion and less alteration much better

Posted by scott at October 21, 2004 02:23 AM

This is definitely queen west, I live on this block! I agree that the correction went a bit too far to be comfortable with this one.
