Comments: frozen handle

Don't you love this time of year? Give me 5 feet of snow before you give me an 1/8 of an inch of ice, thank you.

Nice tones.

This great shot, which tells the whole sad story, doesn't need my comment to point that out.

The bloggies 2005 awards, new to me, does not allow a lot of time for nominations and voting; so, I am going to act immediately to support Sam and his Daily Dose of Imagery. I urge everyone else to do the same. We owe him that!

Looks like my car this morning. Though most of the rain is Just entering the Niagara Region.

Brr! I can feel the chill. Great shot!

How many times has "she" been locked out in the cold? That handle has been through quite a bit of abuse.

Posted earlier, first time ever, got side tracked by the bloggies 2005 thing, actually wanted to mention appreciation of the compositional aspects of this great image; as I see it, the edge of the door, a strong near vertical line, balances the whole thing beautifully. This line is then echoed in a different key by the crack in the handle itself. In the same way, the circular recess in the door is echoed by the circular button. It would seem to me that Volks Wagon engineers, Sam and the weather all co-operated to produce a great shot that was enhanced tremendously by the lighting department.
Am I seeing too much in a simple image, I haven't got out much lately?

ok that might be a little to cold

Umm... you're pretty out of it Ron. :) .. But photography is always up to the individual to interpret and enjoy the way they want. So it's all good.

Howgh!
I imagine you walking down the street, and suddenly your eye tells your brain that there is something interesting in this beetle.... quickly you pull the camera, driven by intuition you push the shutter and bang! the photo is there :-)
Ok i quit ;-)

I agree with Ron.

Well holidays are over and im back.

Great work. Ive looked through the holiday photos and they were terrific.

This one just blows my mind. The ice looks almost like gray paint and I would nearly think this car was an old wrecker... Anyways nice.

Its photos like this one and the past few weeks that keep bringing me back to this place

For the great amount of pleasure that i've been getting viewing your phots, taking a small amount of time to nominate/vote for my fave blog sites is the least i can do. I greatly appreciate your sense of photography and photoshop abilities sam... and i'm still looking for the picture that will show us who the great mastermind behind all these wonderful shots are :)

happy new year to you and your family, and keep posting!
