This one has a spooky feel to it. Where do houses just up and go to?
Posted by Eric at August 3, 2004 12:36 AMbeautiful, combined with all the details of the brick wall this has a story to tell.
Posted by Nazanin at August 3, 2004 06:39 AMVow !
Posted by A lady at August 3, 2004 06:50 AMLove the color and details on the bricks. BTW, I just got a Canon Rebel a week ago and am still playing around with it. I hope to be able to capture beautiful pictures like you some day :).

Posted by chemical imbalance at August 3, 2004 09:17 AMGorgeous. I love the colors.
Posted by Sara at August 3, 2004 01:04 PMI dont quite understand the "once a house" idea with this shot. Was is once a house? or is the frame of a house painted on top of the bricks? I guess thats the mystery :) Nevertheless great detail captured on the texture and colour of the bricks! Great shot.
Posted by missy at August 3, 2004 01:10 PMVery nice shot!!
It's amazing to see the original colour of the brick, now re-revealed since the removal of the house.
Posted by photojunkie at August 3, 2004 03:43 PMalways a house.
you can try selling it to roger waters. he might need it for the cover of a new release of 'the wall'. sacd or sth. like that. he knows how to rake in money.
I love this shot. Beautiful. It has a strange feeling in it. Sort of a sadness. I don't know. Like all your other shots great details, colors,composition,...I also like your title.

Posted by Turtle at August 3, 2004 08:46 PMGreat shot! Memories in brick (and grime)... Dunno where those turtle comments came from though. :)
Posted by kendall at August 3, 2004 08:54 PMmissy: Yes, there was probably once an adjacent house here, which has now been torn down for some reason. While not common, you do see this effect occasionally -- here in Toronto, anyway, but probably anywhere else.
