I don't know if it's the light but it looks like your subway smells better than ours ;-)
If you are talking about the NY subway, then yes, it does smell MUCH better. I have ridden both subways a number of times and the difference is there. ;)
Er, I mean, the Toronto subway smells better. O_o
Maybe those giant washing machines keep it smelling fresh...
Washing machines.....I'm not the only one who thought that!
HOLY CARP! I thought it was a laundromat too!
Another one here thinking it was a laundromat! :) That's funny.
Finally! I can get ALL of my laundry done in a single load! :D
heh heh, yep, it's a laundro' mat alright...
Person who had specified those ugly brown ceramic tiles deserves a little “Laundry Ride”…! It defiantly contributes to the “Laundry” feel. What is wrong with “poor”ed concrete that has to be covered with “whatever shiny” in hand?! (maybe leftovers of a public restroom next door). You all noticed the first couple of comments were all about the smelling?!!).
i like the photograph. the only subway ive ever experienced smells like fresh baked bread and is under 6 grams of fat.
Hahhahahaa @ Kandi cook
nice one ;)
I hate to provide evidence of my ignorance but I'm really curious..! What are those round things anyway?
they are a fancy architectural detail known as windows.
I love this picture. Why is this so beautifully clean (as well as anything else I've seen in Canada and yes, I've been there) and our subways etc look and smell like a urinal. Where do the homeless go in Canada (or are there any?)
ps. It does look like a laundromat
I suppose I should've guessed they were a "fancy architectural detail known as windows". Afterall the composition suggests that's not an outside wall, there is no view of the outside, there is no light coming through them and they don't look anything like windows but yeah I guess I should've known...!
YEah there are homeless people in Toronto and CANADA. There are around 80,000 and growing. It's a problem that has to be addressed more seriously.
Or soon we will have more than NEW YORK.
the reason it is a fancy detail is that they don't look outside, just to more walk way. wasn't pokeing fun at you. don't be so defensive.
our homeless get removed by TTC (Toronto Transit Comission) security for loitering. too many of them freeze to death each winter.
don't talk about loundry...my stomach rollingo.O
this particular subway station actually smells like cinnamon buns, thanks to the Cinnabon just down the hall (behind the camera). always gets me hungry. :)
