Comments: over and underground

This happens with the film cameras, isnt it? When you scan the photos, the picture quality isn't the same as you see it on your photo. This is a fab photo. I bet it looks so much better on your print.

Thanks for your pictures of toronto. I have been there in september last year. It is one of the most fascinating city I have ever been to. I like it' s multicultural flair. I think taht' s a city worth living in!

The upper and lower part for itself as independent photos would function likewise however the combination is impressing.

I love this pic. I think it looks so rich and dense in the colors and the composition.

The contrast of haste and pace jumps out. It is the Divine Comedy, in my mind. Below ground, there are organic beings; the woman, the railing on the left, railing supports on the right. Above, there is very little. All boxes and lines until you reach the upper right of the photo and the only border before blank space are the boxes of the windows. To me it is telling of the way people live- to sin (hell/below ground) seems so full of life, and to be holy lacks richness, or even experiance. The purgatory in this shot looks like a battle between false colors, living machines - and the void of some dark nirvana. A really good snapshot, too.

fantastic! this can't be 2 different images though. which of course makes it even better. it's like two different worlds coexisting and captured together. great work sam! i'm inspired to throw another roll into my lc-a :)

this picture squeezed my heart this morning .
the content , the colours and the composition are defenitly not a simple capture of reality.
this to me is a snap shot of what heart sees not what eyes see.
THANK YOU.
mahsa.

This is very cool. From the big space, I was expecting two pictures to load, but then this lovely sideways panaramic loaded up and I was taken aback. Very nice. :)

excellent shot! there's so much happening in it, so much to look at. the colors are well saturated and the composition is, and i use the word again, excellent;)

Great shot Sam. The colours are great. It's funny...I work in the same building as you, walk to the same subway station, but yet never think of capturing these images. Even when I'm walking to work without my camera and try to think of photos to take along the way, I never visualize ones as nice as these. Here's a request...the baby face statue in the little parkette along the way. You must have taken photos of it already.

I'm curious Sam, how exactly did you make this one? Wide angle lense?

Great pictures on the whole, you've made me see my city in a way I hadn't thought of before.

More...wonderful than words can express, which is odd to me, concerning the fact I am a writer. Unbelievable. Thank you for my daily inspiration, a few days behind.
