Intresting indeed! I love how the light is breaking through the buildings.

Very atmospheric - I don't know how much has been burnt in but it's an eye-catching image.

Stunning. Truly stunning.

The fogs/low clouds really make things interesting these days. I can't seem to get a good picture of it but it would be nice if you could take a picture just before sunrise when the fog just barely covers the houses...

Great!

Posted by Mr-Dott at October 5, 2007 09:38 AM

yes it was very foggy all day.

Great, great shot Sam! It was a pretty crazy sjy, I'm glad you captured this.

I was wandering around downtown after work yesterday... really wishing I had my camera. It was amazing... low, dark clouds to the east, flowing along and thinning out gradually to the west, cutting towers in half in a shroud of cloud, the CN Tower most notably. Kept thinkin' of Sam, "Hope he's getting some of this!"

Very cool. Looks like something from a scary movie.

Salut,
I, too, was stuck at work all day yesterday, but as soon as it was over, ran down to front street to take snaps; despite my perhaps overly-enthusiastic sarcasm and criticism, I was indeed curious to see what you came up with for the curious weather yesterday - I assume this is what your e-mail to me regarding my comment referred to

best,

Jono

Love it! the mood and atmosphere convey a sense of brooding and foreboding and imminent doom. This is my new favorite site. Love your work.

The fog was very cool yesterday

great image Sam!

wow... truly stunning - and eerie!
I can't wait to come home to Toronto in a week!

The gradient effect is really cool. This photo is especially chilling if you have a small browser window and start at the top of the image (where you can only see the bird) and scroll down; the buildings seem to slowly appear out of nowhere. Great effect. Love the foggy feel of the buildings in the lower half too.

Yeah, it was really cool and misty yesterday. The fog made the rays of light quite visible too; I took some shots myself. I love the mood of this photo!*

JUST CRAZY !!!

If am totally honest, most of your cityscapes do nothing for me as they lack any emotive or atmospheric context - but this one is completely different...a fantastic and unique shot!

cool picture, too bad it's polution! :/

Wow! Thats an impressive sky, and the bird adds just the right touch, so to say defiance of nature against human technology.

Posted by Mikhail Yukhnovskiy at October 5, 2007 10:24 PM

Beautiful! Love that the bird is flying right where the buildings disappear into the sky.

Posted by Serena at October 6, 2007 10:31 PM

Is that a bird? Its huge! Do you know what kind of bird? The whole shot seems surreal from the paramount of fog and the bat esque bird.

Thanks for showing your work daily!
