Always love your urban landscapes, but this one is a little odd with the water not being level. Small critique I know, but for my eye at least its just a slightly strange.

very dynamic photograph and a lovely mixture of natural light with artificial lighting

I like the image itself, and we have seen another view of this picture recently. I think the one thing that's distracting with this version is the arch on the left side. It kind of breaks up the best building in this picture which is disappointing. The reflection is nice however, and more of it than the other picture which is what I found myself wanting to see. In this case you captures a rather calm moment in an otherwise busy city. Nice find!

are those little patches of ICE on the water?
please say no.
i'm coming to visit Toronto on your May long weekend, and I'll be damned if i need my winter coat.
it's May 1st.
please tell me there's no ice still.

Wonderful image, Sam. Would it be fair to say "spectacular without being overdone"? The general composition and components such as light and shade and colour work so well together under your direction that an image like this "raises the bar" for the whole concept of photoblogging.
"Thanks for sharing" seems inadequate, how do I arrange to buy a print?

Nice shot. Nature was obliging leaving just enough water from the rink to pull that reflection off. Good stuff.

The only thing that comes to mind is "WOW!"

I've been in that spot and seen that view. And here I sit at home, 8748km away (according to google maps) and get reminded of how it looked. Nice photo

Amazing composition Sam! I actually think the dry spots in the water add another level of visual complexity and you couldn't have possibly put the arch on the left in any better spot. Ignore the critics - this one's an A+! I gotta say, you make Toronto look like the most beautiful city in the world! :-)
