Comments: bell above car

Beautiful shot as always...You travelled a lot in Italy!!
Is this the "Ospedale degli Innocenti" by Filippo Brunelleschi? (Brunelleschi is the same who projected the Florence cathedral dome)

Beautiful colours. Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, one of my favourites. This is the Ospedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), which used to be the orphanage that also took in abandoned babies (hence the babies represented in the Brunelleschi round terra cotta sculptures). Fittingly, it now houses a daycare centre and other organized activities for children.

It is god's house. If I couldn't see the man and a car, that house is not made for human. lol

I really like the treatment of the sky here.

That car looks impossibly small : )

Your signature sky is apparent once more!

beautiful shot - regretfully I spent most of my time in Florence thrift store shopping rather than sight-seeing :/

Posted by Jennifer at November 24, 2006 08:54 AM

Interesting. It looks like a place that would normally be crowded with people.

How interesting to note that Italians can build an entirely boring facade. How come the sky is black?

Stunning shot! Love the composition and the colouring.

I love the symmetry in this shot and the scheme of colours. Thank you for all the beautiful pictures from your trip to Italy - I've always wanted to go there, so this is the next best thing!

This was my favorite piazza when I studied in Florence. I lived down the street on Gino Caponi and I went to church right next door to the building in this photo just about every day. Thank you for sharing your photos and for bringing back so many wonderful memories for me!
