A hint at how the photographer gets his image is available in this shot. !!

on this mellow, gray day, i dub this picture "the simple life". since you couldn't come up with a title of your own... sorry if that comes across as rude.
soothing picture, though.

Graffiti is everywhere.lovely!

Posted by Harlequinpan at October 7, 2006 05:42 AM

I think it should be retitled "bike, tv, girl, dog, and photographer" because unless my eyes deceive me your reflection is shown twice (once in the glass door and once on the tv screen).

Very nice capture of real life. Thanks for sharing it.

Sam, if that's you in the reflection doing the ultimate sneak attack that is hilarious man, hah. Good exposure, interesting shot. Nailed the tone and textures as always.

i love the multiple panes of reflections (even in the tv) it's always great to get that suggestion of the photographer ('s feet).

Loved the Nuit Blanche fog images Sam, thanks for capturing what we didn't get time to see.

nice, is that you i see in the reflection?
and are you taking the pic from chest height?
i suppose thats a good way of not making people act differently, as some people do when they think their getting their picture taken.

Posted by Doug at October 7, 2006 09:35 AM

bike, tv, girl, dog and Sam's reflection in the door. :)

Posted by Fen at October 7, 2006 09:36 AM

and the Nissan!

Posted by arash at October 7, 2006 10:31 AM

oh sorry... and the photographer's reflection.

Posted by arash at October 7, 2006 10:34 AM

i love the composition. might even work in black and white. were you holding the camera at chest height?

Posted by Kelvin Chan at October 7, 2006 11:15 AM

I find this image depressing.

Posted by Hugh Petrie at October 7, 2006 11:36 AM

AND photographer in the reflections.

Posted by Tim P at October 7, 2006 11:48 AM

Its kinda neat seeing you in the door, shooting with the camera on your chest and looking to the right.

Posted by Oliver at October 7, 2006 12:24 PM

is that you on TV? :)

Posted by Susie at October 7, 2006 02:06 PM

This photo is so humble & creative, yet so adorable!

Posted by Stefanie at October 7, 2006 02:30 PM

The title should be "bike, tv, girl, dog, and me" - we can see your reflection in the glass door and TV (at least, I'm assuming it's you)

Posted by Khadeeja at October 7, 2006 02:33 PM

The reflection on the tv, plus your reflection in the window makes a great moment. Terrific street shot.

Posted by Alison at October 7, 2006 07:17 PM

Thats an Oldsmobile in the pic :)

Posted by sriram at October 7, 2006 08:30 PM

Hafiz & Arash, I think it looks like a 2003(?) Oldsmobile Alero.

Sam, awesome shot. I love the pretty/gritty "Toronto Life" shots. :-)
