The darkened homes/street bring attention to the jet trace and contrasty blue sky. Great of you to not try to overly illuminate the lower portion of this pic. Great job as always, Sam. Late this week I pick up my first tripod and serious set of filters, so things should be looking truer and less shaky soon.
Its a Bird. Its a plane. Its Superman. Superman always was a Canadian invention.(Drawn and created by a Canadian cartoonist). Its suiting that the final photographic proof of his existence comes from a Canadian photographer.
I thought it was bad enough when you raided his secret hideout, but now your stalking the man of steel when hes out just taking a little flying time.
Great photo very cool effect with the warping of the jet trail.
it makes me think of calc class. i really liked calc, so it's good thing.
How did this photo? is fantastic
This shot intrigues me. It's a great capture, you captured the part you wanted obviously. Is this... a passenger jet, or military? I'm guessing it is turning left towards you, rather than going straight up in the air like I originally thought!
Sam! this is a great shot! Was this shot taken with or with out a tripod? Keep up the inspiring work !
Great shot. Love the color of that jet trace. I love that you included the houses and the tree on the right in the composition. Makes for a much more interesting image.
wow, that's pretty awesome. i've never seen red trails before. cant tell if this is from the sun setting or a filter. great capture.
wow! you know the winds are calm up there when a contrail lasts that long! the red sunset through the trail makes this picture interesting. i'd love to see a crop with less house/street and more sky/tree. the jpeg combing and slight artifacting is taking away some of the enjoyment of this shot though.
Very nice! Love the lines and textures in this shot :) The long exposure of the streak in the sky was captured perfectly :D
Thats quite the amazing picture there. I like how the jet trail is focussed on due to the lack of lighting on the houses. And my my my is that a bright red or what.
thank you for my new desktop background :)
The lightning trace reminds me of the effect on the Red Hot Chili Peppers video. The one achieved by moving a flashlight on the air in slow camera.
Awesome picture. Great colors =)
Love the effect the jet stream puts off. Great photo.
This is a nice shot, I like the composition a lot.
nice image, one of my favorites.
i just wanted to point out that the thing that really makes this an interesting picture is the correlation between the curve of the jet trail and the curves on the lamp posts. didnt want that to slip by unappreciated.
I just came here to make sure someone had noticed what Jen mentioned above. :)
