Comments: bloor subway

Im running out of vocabulary to express how good these photos are. My first thought when seeing this was simply "wow"

Aferwhich, I was amazed by the length of the train. It looks like it is continuing on forever.

Then I saw the ghostly look of all those doors and how it seemed each person was waiting and choosing which door to walk through. Its like a metaphor for life as we choose the doors we will take into our future. Each door speeding us off into another future fate. each person choosing a different way.
(I drank too much coffee sorry... maybe im spaced on caffine.)

Thank you for making your site available. Your work is incredible. I just picked up a camera of my own (Canon S410) for the first time in May '04. I am as amateur as they come, but your site inspires me to take a course and learn to do what you do. This is absolutely fascinating and brilliant!

This is quite a nice Lomo image, I must break out the Lomo again, It is so easy to get caught up in digital imaging that the Lomo is gathering dust... when I went to dust it off this morning the batteries were dead... do you think someone is telling me something?

you have great photoshop skills, really admire your work and am trying to be 10% like you.....what do you do to remove noise from the pics?

okay, stop following me! i stood right beside that girl (the one who looks like she's wearing a chain-link fence around her legs) yesterday going North to Bloor from King.

not a bad shot, but not my favorite you've taken of our terrible subway system here in Toronto.

cheers,

Congrats on getting your photo featured!

There's so much to do, and so little time
And here I am, waiting
Waiting in line

This is a really great shot. I tried to take a few of these in Chicago when I was up there but never got one I was very happy with. Nice work.

I just keep looking at those nearly-bare legs and I wonder how on earth she can stand it during this cold snap we're having. She must have frostbite, or else she spends all of her time underground. Why do people persist in pretending winter doesn't happen?

Ah, vanity.

we are distracted by fashion / smile

Kathy, i doubt her legs are bare / she is most likely wearing tights that have the chain/lace design printed on them

Wow, this is such a beautiful photo. It was taken at exactly the right time, from a really good angle. Beautiful!

P.S. I live in Toronto too! It's been @(%&^@% cold out there!

I always love your subway shots. Huzzzzzah! This is one of my favs (though not the best), I like how the train seems to never end, and the motion blur just makes it all the better. Half the pic is blurred and the other half is not. Amazing.

If you look very closely you can see ghostly images of the people ridding inside the train. (Thats sooo cool.)

cool shot, but as far as I know from my time in toronto (aka my whole life), there is no bloor subway stop, just a bloor line :) Do you mean younge and bloor?

Posted by Michael at January 23, 2005 08:33 PM

Indeed, the shot in JPG was quite good. I love the mag.
