That's why I prefer Balzac's......they don't leave their Christmas decorations up too long! ;-)
I love the gentleness of the raindrops on the glass and the muted colours behind them, and how the drops almost disappear over the white of the wreath.
Posted by Kathy at January 14, 2005 01:07 AMMan thats great...just when you thought the "wet drops through a window" look couldnt be revisited...
now what is it?
Posted by Kyle Murphy at January 14, 2005 03:05 AMThis looks awesome...
When do you sleep? =)
But what the hell *is* it on the other side?
Posted by Aegir at January 14, 2005 04:52 AMNice colors! Great shot!
Posted by yuri at January 14, 2005 09:12 AMEven from this side of the world, I can feel to cold of the day. Brrr.
Posted by iGaijin at January 14, 2005 10:47 AMIt's a wreath at a Starbucks; they had they up for Christmas.
Posted by Erin at January 14, 2005 10:49 AMNice!
I had a similar idea (which, granted, didn't turn out as well) on my log.
Fine condesation really does a nice job of diffusing light.
Posted by Chris at January 14, 2005 11:05 AMI recognized that Starbucks wreath a mile away. My wife and mother-in-law got obessed with having them and I think I went to every Starbucks in the Plano, TX area looking for these and the little coffee cup Christmas tree ornaments!
Great photo by the way!
Posted by matt at January 14, 2005 11:21 AMNothing beats natural diffusion. Great composition too.

Posted by carr at January 14, 2005 06:36 PMAw, come on! That isn't white icing? I have a severe craving for red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.
Posted by . at January 14, 2005 07:07 PMI happened to find your website address by looking at your profile in orkut;(I was looking at the friends lists of friends out of curiousity!)You have a really good eye for details and your photos are all, i really mean it, they're all awsome.
good luck
I love colours and light in your photos. Congratulations from the other side of the world.
Posted by Lola at January 15, 2005 09:02 AMnice hightlight from droplets and a strange but working layout. the straight verticle line on the right grabs your eye right away, but its not distracting. superb.
Posted by zerosun at January 15, 2005 09:59 AMNice. Agree with all the postive comments above. I like the droplets. good photo, but now I feel like having coffee.
Man I miss second cup. Starbucks is in Japan, but no second cup... I hope to see a nice photo of second cup and tim hortons in the future. (I miss S.C.'s hazelnut and irish cream coffee / T.H.'s English toffee and French vanilla too) I miss those places. Or is starbucks your corporate sponsor now and your held by contract to only do photography for them (just kidding)
P.S. iGaijin> Seems you're a fellow poster also stuck here in Japan.
Posted by scott at January 16, 2005 06:41 PMwow! this seems magical!!! I love it!
