Happy New Year from Victoria B.C. its been great finding you this year and I look forward to another 365 shots....I like how every thing but the girl in white is blurred... good thinking on this one I think..

It's amazing how you've managed to have a completely blurred image except for that lady on the skates... Quite impressive.

Have a fantastic 2005!

This is my first comment on this site although I check it every day. Just wanted to say thanks for being consistent in posting and providing great shots for all of us everyday. Best of luck in the new year from China. Xin Nian Kuai Le (Happy New Year).

I'm using a dial-up connection so this image loaded pretty slowly. I saw the building appearing and thought 'hold on, that looks a bit shaky by Sam's standards...' But eventually I got the whole picture with the one girl perfectly sharp with everyone else blurring around her - stunning. A great way to kick off 2005. Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ...you filthy animals... ;) =D hope you had a good one, sam.

Very cool motion blur. It really gives life to the picture.

And a happy new year to you as well!

I LOVE the effect of the picture. The girl, slightly off-center, is in focus and everything else is slightly off-focus or movement blurred.
Very cool.

Happy New Year, Sam. Looking forward to your daily view of our city throughout 2005. Cheers!

Hey man! This is way blurred. The background building just suck! I wanted to save the picture too.

Happy New Year, Sam. Thanks for a great year of pictures -- you have been a major influence for me; maybe TOO much though, my shot today is of Toronto's City Hall too (but my motion blur is from a new Lensbaby I got for Christmas), and my picture for tomorrow is of a woman skating on the same rink dressed in a fancy dress (but taken one day earlier than this shot).

Anyway, hope 2005 holds all sorts of wonderful and interesting pictures from you, as well as lots of success and happiness.

i think a more blurred background would have a great effect... hopefully i'll put some pictures from summer in my website soon...oh boy don't we enjoy panning on people!

A couple a days ago. The first I saw in your picture, because of the necessary scrolling, was the buildings ... blurry ... and I surfed on to other sites.

When checking your site today I looked at the picture again and I found the sharp woman. Amazing effect!

God fortsättning!

Dont you hate it when it gets so cold it freezes time right before the newyears count down. those poor people. Hope they unfreeze soon.

I like your photos very much. I am French, and I have been working in Toronto' Benvenuto as waiter, to improve my language ; could somebody take a picture of the Benvenuto from Avenue Road, and another of where I was living, almost across the B, on Avenue Road N° 481 (but the house was so old, I'm sure it does not exist any more!! Thank you, let me know how much it would coast.
