I like these photos of the filtration plant. I dont suppose you have one looking down that line of trees. Itd be neat to see how quickly/slowly they dissapear

Help! It feels like I'm falling :) I guess it's the trees on the left that gives this illusion. Nice diagonal composition ... with foggy colors. It's a pity the man was there. Would have been really cool with just the white dog againts the green-greyish background.

Hey! When I posted a comment this came up ... "Use of uninitialized value in substitution (s///) at plugins/Blacklist/lib/Blacklist/App.pm line 44."

Beautiful pic! Its interesting I was reading Michael Ondaatje's book called "In the Skin of a Lion" where he describes this filtration plant and the history behind it. Can you take pictures of the interior?

Very cool emotion here. Love the way the trees start out with a stark outline of trunks and then fade off into vagueness!

ha! made me think of James Herriot tromping over the green hills in England.

Great shot, would be nicer without the dog and person though, imo.

"O, were I on Parnassus hill,
Or had o' Helicon my fill,
That I might catch poetic skill,
To sing how dear I love thee!
But Nith maun be my Muse's well,
My Muse maun be thy bonie sel',
On Corsincon I'll glowr and spell,
And write how dear I love thee."
(Robert Burns, O'Were I on Parnassus Hill,1788)

O, doth this remind thy hills of thee fair bonnie Scotland.

Good photo.

I've been an admirer of topleftpixel for some time, and imagine my surprise when I found a picture of myself and Magnus, my dog!

Some bad news though. The Harris plant is currently at the centre of a major construction project and will be off limits to us ordinary people for over 2 years. Once this project is finished, the City has promised to return the plant and its grounds to the original state. Keep your fingers crossed!

For more pictures of how it was, you might look at http://www3.sympatico.ca/james.tulk/R_C_Harris/index.htm
