I like your photos .. how about a photo from a dance floor of one of the Toronto's famouse night clubs? You show too many buildings and signs and sky.

Thanks.

Sam, it's time for you to visit Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood. No dead ivy, but plenty of buildings needing similar attention!

Good subject, nicely sharpened.

Hairy indeed. Your comment for the picture made me laugh ;D Interesting capture!

I like your personification of the house, describing it as "hairy". It reminds me of the hair on an elelphant. The red brick peaking through the white paint makes for great contrast. Excellent photo.

How did you achieve ISO 50 on rebel?

Great composition. Is the building still inhabited? Lights on in a couple of windows. Love the transition of vibrant red brick to dull gray. Vines add wonderful contrast.

Definately a favorite.

This reminds me someone, hmmm... but whom? ... ooops! yeah it's him! ;-D ... forget it!

yes believe it or not some people in toronto still live in old decrepid houses like that one. Usually they are rental houses with about 10 people renting rooms inside. I rarely see real houses downtown anymore. Since the landlords only want profit they did the bare minimum to maintain the place and milk the tenants for every penny they can.

I think even the plants think we are being lazy by leaving that old ugly thing standing, so they have started to remove it for us.

I think we should wait and look at this hairy building blossom into beautiful green ivy in the summer.

ISO 50 in using a Digital Rebel? That must be a mistake.

This one looks like a painting by Andrew Wyeth, the American painter; wonderful!
