Niiiiiiiiiiice.....a fantastic composition of a photograph. Gives me additional respect for the kit lens.
I especially like how everyone is darkened, but the one lady in white, who almost looks she is just standing there watching you take the photograph.
Nicely done.
Posted by 6oh. at November 26, 2004 12:27 AMNice shot. I can imagine looking thru the passage from where u were standing when taking the shot.
Posted by IZ Reloaded at November 26, 2004 02:27 AMSorry to be boring, but...great shot!
Posted by quasi at November 26, 2004 02:31 AMOH YES! I really like this. In particular, the dark lines of the arched achitecture framing the image, the iPod ads down the left side, the lighting is great - I love how some people are silhoutted while others are not and best of all, the woman at the bottom of the picture with her swagger! Great all round image.
Posted by Andy (SensorChip) at November 26, 2004 04:08 AMOne of the best pictures I have seen on this Site!
Posted by theo at November 26, 2004 04:26 AMI've been watching your work for a while now...
and since that last person who commented pointed that lady out... I noticed her too... it's kinda creepy looking actually. ha.

Posted by meg at November 26, 2004 04:45 AMVery nice. Great symmetry and composition. And there's always got to be an iPod ad somewhere eh? haha
Posted by Jessyel Ty Gonzalez at November 26, 2004 05:23 AMThe B&W works perfect, giving it a very futuristic, alienated look. Big Brother is watching you (pun slightly intented as towards the new comments system ;) ).
Posted by Robert Wood at November 26, 2004 06:44 AMVery cool.
Posted by djn1 at November 26, 2004 06:53 AMI love this picture! It looks like something from the 1930s. The gridwork creates a great framing and atmosphere. Thank you for all your hard work. I'm sure posting every day is difficult, but your work is consistently high quality and a joy to see.
Posted by MexiPickle at November 26, 2004 08:40 AMThis is unbelievable. I had never seen the Union station like that. Awesome!
Posted by Riri at November 26, 2004 09:23 AMAbsolutely Fantastic.
Good use of the sqaure format on this one, works very well with the circular walkway. Also like the space in the upper left for magazine cover title, ad blurb etc.
Posted by furm at November 26, 2004 09:44 AMThis is one of my favourites sam. Great job.
Posted by miklos at November 26, 2004 10:44 AMthis one deserves to be on the wall of a b&w exhibit. amazingly captured, this kind of photo will give no choice for trolls but to go somewhere else =)
Posted by ren at November 26, 2004 11:23 AMOUTSTANDING! And, clean. You mean there is no litter on the floor.
Posted by Kevin at November 26, 2004 12:10 PMReally, really stunning. Love it.
Posted by Mark Wickens at November 26, 2004 01:19 PMIf it’s true that we dream in B & W then this photo could be a dream. I like it, it looks futuristic.
Posted by Mike Hagarty at November 26, 2004 02:14 PMvery nice composition, and i really like the dark tones. gotta love it!:)
Posted by fredrik at November 26, 2004 02:30 PMSWEETNESS! Very nicely composed! :D
Posted by riff at November 26, 2004 03:24 PMit reminds me of the movie, BRAZIL. "THIS IS INFORMATION RETRIEVAL!"
Posted by siavash at November 26, 2004 03:54 PMsimply one of your best photos recently
Posted by Michael at November 26, 2004 04:38 PMStunning!
Posted by joerg at November 26, 2004 07:04 PMlove the ipod ads on the wall!
Posted by Mohsen at November 26, 2004 07:18 PMGood work Sam, but I must point out that this thread is missing the acidic commentary of a certain unbalanced ignoramus.
Posted by qoJ at November 26, 2004 10:38 PMJust randomly found your blog,
very cool idea and amazing pics by the way :)
I can relate to this photo as I was recently in montreal this summer and took the metro @ night...kinda creepy
it also kind of reminds me of the train station in harry potter (perspective-wise)
Cheers,
Emily.
Posted by Emily at November 27, 2004 12:35 AMGreat perspective and excellent exposure. Faultless.
Posted by Simon C at November 27, 2004 11:42 AMdefinately printworthy. Someone commented on the beauty of the beams, the reflections are exceptional. The Ipod Ads, repeating themselves every 5 feet, great repetition. Perhaps a color version some time? I'd love to compare- there's no way someone could creat such contrast with a color shot.

Excellent photograph, Sam. The highlights and shadows are superb. I'm glad to see your photography returning to more of a studied approach.
Posted by Alec Long at November 27, 2004 02:13 PMReally nice shot. The 20D looks great at 800.
Posted by Eric Hancock at November 27, 2004 08:12 PMWow. This looks like a still frame from a Kubrick movie; perfectly in focus throughout the frame and exposure ranging from black to pure white.
I want to buy a print of this.
Posted by Winston Smith at November 29, 2004 11:01 AMAwesome shot... damn nice...
Posted by bob at November 30, 2004 11:35 PMwell, I'm one of many silent addicts of this dose of imagery. This one broke my silence. Great job.
Posted by Shauheen at December 1, 2004 12:40 PMVery quiet feeling... and lonely.
I want a hug.
I saw this one from across the room and it actually looks like a backlit spiderweb with an out of focus foreground.
Posted by Jeremy Sale at January 6, 2005 10:36 PMI think the second part of my comment got cut off...so let's try that again:
"Image theft isn't cool. Sorry to hear you've gotten hit with it - lovely photo too, by the way.
Sorry for the double post (my computer's pretty wonky these days...)
Posted by oggi at May 5, 2005 06:58 PMHaving walked along this corridor with my camera, definitely regret not taking a picture now!
Great pic!
