I used to work for the CN Tower... just so you know, much of the level the glass floor is on is glass flooring... it's just that most of the glass is covered up; only 'good view' is left uncovered... people don't know they're walking on glass, it's covered up by the carpet... look up at the tower from below and you will discover this.... just some fun trivia for those who are tower fans, as I think Sam is.

Jumping on the glass floor is more fun. Especially around people that are scared out of their minds and stand at the edge of the glass just looking down. Fun times.

Thanks for this great perspective, Sam. I vaguely remember standing on the glass floor when I was about 5 years old, terrified to look down. When I did, I jumped to the good, solid, opaque floor nearby. :)

Considering how thick (and dirty) the glass floor is, the shot came out nicely. Excellent!

Yesterday's picture was better. This one misses the beautiful light with the shadows. And also there is less vertigo because of the longer lens, although this lens makes it more abstract, which is an asset. An amazing picture.

I can imagine a lot of folks skateboarding there, no?

Wow.....I would never have the nerve to stand on a glass floor at this height.I almost get frightened, just looking at the photo.

But I have to admit it is a very spectacular one!!!

This is a beautiful shot.

So much to say about this wonderful photo, but what I like best is imagining that all those little dots of people are like colorful pushpins marking the their locations on an aerial map. Very interesting photo to ponder.

Thank you for showing me what I never had the courage to see. While all of my friends ran over to the glass floor and looked down between their feet or !!jumped!! up and down on it, all I could do was lean over from eight feet away and just catch a glimpse of horizon...

This shots just great. Its like looking down upon the world from a birds perspective.

I dont get any vertigo from this photo. Im not so sensative to hieghts I guess. I think if the photo was blown up into a large wall print, It would be very vertigo inducing. I like how you managed to capture the people so well. It is utterly amazing that you got such a good shot through that dirty shoe printed and hand printed glass. Did you bring some windex and paper to clean the glass??? (just kidding)

To Sabina: Oh I forget what those things that look like eels really are, but I know that the white structure is a fountain not a building. I think those brown looking statues in the fountain are supposed to repressent fish and if you look you can see them above the fountain too. Like salmon that are jumping a small waterfall.

Long time listener, first time caller....

The 'maggots' everybody keeps referring to are actually metal fish in a fountain/art-installation called 'Salmon Run'. The water runs down several steps from the grey rectangle in to the white circle below, and the fish are supposed to be jumping down the falls.

Unfortunately, what is actually a fairly attractive water feature has sat dry for a while now, I think because it requires maintenance that the city can't presently afford.

i hate those dirty glasses, they don't let you feel the height at all!
When i saw this photo i thought that you'd found a place with no glasses but when i read about the adjustments i learned more about photography ;)

This shot makes my heart race just looking at it!

I love this shot and I'd hope that if I was there I'd at least attempt trying to get this shot as a way to push myself mentally and creatively, but I think my fear of walking on glass so high up (no matter how thick) would overrule.

It's a shame... what a great view!
