This is amazingly fun to scroll down and watch the plane leave the screen. Engaging way to 'use' a computer screen and picture heighth. Glad I just checked in!

I totally agree with your Kurt. Way to take advantage of the medium of which your presenting your photography. Just wonderful.

Nice capture.

This is awesome. That's quite a trail that plane left behind. It just shows that although it was a beautifully clear sky, it wasn't too warm. At least not here in the Niagara area..

amazing. I love the affect of scrolling down to see the full photo!

Sweeeeeeeeeeet! Interestingly unique photo.

It almost looks like that jet is doing a fighterplane maneuver into the sun. But those 4 turbines on the wings look an awful lot like a large passenger plane such as a 747 or Airbus. I don't think passenger airlines make a habit of suprising their customers with sudden fighter jet maneuvers, although sometimes on those long boring flights i almost wish they would. Too bad those planes arent capable of it.

I think sams on a sky theme this week... I like it. Beautful. Im not a big fan of planes or plane photos, but this one is unique enough for me to like it. Thanks again Sam. The addition of the tower as a point of reference really adds an additional depth to the photo which I like.

P.S. I am glad chemical finally came out of the closet yesterday... lets give him a round of applause clap clap clap.... I just hope he doesnt see the phalic symbolism in this photo and get too excited again.

Just kidding. keep posting.

Now this is what I'm talking about, great job Sam. I also happen to agree with everyone about the scrolling, reminds me of http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/archives/photos_cityscape/040324_533.shtml and another one I cannot find of a nice bank building and as you scroll down you see the graphity, rust, and bum slouched over in the corner of the door.

chem....

Nice work sammie

Lorin thanks for posting the link to that past photo. I agree its really a great example of the same fantastic use of the medium. The city scape photo appears like two different uniquely well taken photos merged into one. I like the way it really gives the impression that the view is actually looking at the scenery and then looking down into the subway enterance. Its very realistic and captures the feeling of living in Toronto very well. Since I am a Torontonian I can say I have expereinced that sort of view in real life. I do believe these photos are meant to take advantage of the presentation method and are great examples of creativity. Thanks again.

No. It's not the CN tower. It's Apollo 15.

Posted by Boreo at November 15, 2004 11:32 PM

What happened to Chemical's post? Has he been censored or did I just imagine he had posted?

Posted by sharron at November 16, 2004 05:48 AM

you're not imagining things, sharron. what you've just witnessed is shamefull censoring. this is a bleek day for ddoi. almost as bleak as todays post.
