Comments: green door in rasht

This is beauty. The old door and the wall. The wall is revealing a little bit of red bricks. The blue plate on the top right hand side says 21. I like 21. It's a winner in a black jack game. Who lives behind that door?... This photo is so inspring in many ways. Weldone Sam!

It's amazing to see what some people call beauty. If this were my front door, my neighbors would be calling the city to have me clean up my act.

As an aside, is that spot of blue paint where the doorbell is supposed to go?

i love this! even without the little blue signs it would be so clearly NOT toronto, but somewhere more exotic, with a different past and a different present...our cultures: so unique, so diverse, so essential.

Very interesting. Its good to see views from other parts of the world. A good photo of a unique Door. Its a wonder how such an old derepid thing can suddenly take on a look of beauty in a photo such as this. Thanks for showing us places we might never otherwise have a chance to see. You must get home sick sometimes when you look at the photos of your country.

The bottom of the photo looks manipulated. Is it and if so what did you do?

I don't get it. It's just a green door, what is so special or beautiful about this? Sam, you are losing your touch for really good photos.

Interesting picture. There's something exotic about it. It seems to echo a prosperous past.

Iran needs some new construction.

I used to live in the United Arab Emirates...I remember seeing a set of artwork, forgot the artist name now, but it was all of old Arabic doors. Great stuff, in a way it reminds me of this. My parents still live there, this winter I get to go back over the x-mas break, first time in 2 years now...I'm taking the dSLR and an ungodly amount of film with me. I always regret not ever taking pictures when I lived there, so I have 20 something days to make up for all those years.

a piece of crap photograph, if taken in another country makes it nothing more than an EXOTIC piece of crap photograph.

Time has left some interesting beauty marks on this door. It made me wonder how many generations have went in and out through it.
