The pigeons and the lone man provide a strong contrast. All the more make me appreciate my significant other.

I wonder why the one pigeon's sitting on the opposite side of the tracks on the fence.. Overall I love the feel of this shot. Nice capture once again.

The pigeon on the far side is waiting for a west-bound train!

That guy doesn't know what he's in for.

Tsubiak -- I appreciate your significant other as well.

that pigeon on the white fence in the background looks about ready to kill the mainstream pigeons for not letting him into their clique.

Don't be so hasty to get rid of the pigeons. I like them better than I do the man walking along the bottom of this photo.

Actually, pigeons are wonderful little pieces of artwork themselves, if you pause to consider the amazing designs and colours that adorn them.

It's just somewhat unfortunate that they in turn so prolifically adorn the city with their own creations......

Thanks for the fun theme this week, Sam! Your photos always brighten my day!

The man appears to be worried. Only if he look up and see how carefree the birds are!

don't give in to the anti-pigeonistas! so what they are flying cockroaches?! I like your pictures of dilapadated buildings and industry too... so...

if I had a complain it's people... I like that people are rarely the focus of your work.

too many pictures of people and the human form.

glek! like we don't get enough of that.

The one pigeon on the other side is a rebel.

The rest work for google.

Sam are you trying to make a statement with pigeons? Or are they just part of the urban landscape?

Posted by designguy at November 5, 2004 03:03 PM

bornorf,

the man is probably worried because he is aware of the poor photography that is being posted as of late here at ddoi.

No no, the pigeon shot are good! (Nothing to do with the pigeons themselves, but they happen to be the first pair i've really liked in a while.)

No more pigeons? Hey, that is a rash promise.

Funny, I didn't notice the pigeons until I read the caption. :^)

very nice photograph!!

Nice photo of pigeons. Somehow its just not that intersting to me. But I do like the way they line up.

The old man is probably worried because hes freezing his backside off taking his morning walk and its only novemeber. He probably knows from many years of experience that from here on out it just gets colder and colder... The long winter has come. Id be worried if I were him too.

all and all its a good photo just not one of my favorites. Thanks for the shot and the pigeon theme was nice.
