Where is Batman?

Posted by ila at October 30, 2004 05:06 AM

Hey, I love this shot...

However, a little constructive criticism... it would do more for me if it were cropped, just chop off much of the top part, I would crop it somewhere in that staircase, preferably so you remove the sky above it. Without that, the visual flow is very pleasing and all that extra info up there is removed.

Just my two cents. :-)

Really, really cool. Just perfect light from the windows, but like Jason said, the top part is unneeded. So some cropping would make it even better. Think it is almost disturbing.

Nice jack-o-lantern

it would be funny if Casper flew near the window.

nice one. =)

Great shot -- love the illumination from the windows -- not an easy thing to do.... really nice...

An alternative title could be "Rear Window."

The framing of the photo is just right in my opinion, it all works together to create a better reference for the scene. Looks like compression hurt the sky a little though.

It won't forget,
It won't forgive,
It will sneak behind your back.

I agree with Userif, cropping it would take away from the interesting angle of the stair case, its architecture is really very cool-looking:)

Oh, and by the way Sam, there has obviously been a lot of controversy on the generic site.. What’s your opinion?

Posted by Aaron at October 30, 2004 03:47 PM

I don't like the suggestion of cropping it. I like seeing the entire staircase.

I don't mind giving my opinion of the generic parody -- it's got boring after 2 minutes. His problem is with the comment section more than anything (he says so on his site). I think he's way off base.

Keep it up, Sam. I almost prefer not hearing what sam has to say. His viewers will defend him, cuz we, supposedly, are the real targets of parody.

Holy Gotham, that's it, Batman. Thanks Sam.
