What is with that one blue pane of glass? My eyes are immediately drawn to it. Especially when contrasted with the crimson brick. Great shot.
Posted by Jerry McG at September 19, 2004 02:56 AMI love your brick walls/old T.O. downtown building shots. They show industrialism in the most beautiful form of it. Bravo Sam!
Posted by SlicesOfLife at September 19, 2004 04:48 AMVery nice colours in this. Textures are great. :)
Posted by adam at September 19, 2004 04:50 AMi like the two orange windows up top, they look like they're on fire.
Posted by tanner at September 19, 2004 06:23 AMvery nice shot, good sharpeness, but tilt is sloping to left
Posted by Michal at September 19, 2004 07:09 AM~very nice find~
Posted by btezra at September 19, 2004 09:11 AMI've never seen such colorflu windows in my life!
Oh, and what's up with those two "fire" panes? Quite odd.
with the two fire panels at the top, it makes the first two windows look kind of like eyes... very unique shot, very kewl ;)
Posted by ericville at September 19, 2004 11:26 AMYou must have so much bandwidth... to throw around 300+ KB for one image... damn.
All the same, you do so well, it's worth it. Cool shape study here. Yours is my favorite photoblog. Keep 'em coming!
Posted by Andy Cogbill at September 19, 2004 02:36 PMMy Gawd, I love your work!
Posted by Birdie at September 19, 2004 07:11 PMNobody's mentioned what I find most fascinating about this image: The meticulously tied drapes in the blue window.
All the other windows seem to suggest decay and neglect, while this one appears to contain life. Is this an artists' studio?
Posted by Alec Long at September 19, 2004 09:03 PMAh, the 'ol defiance of perspective. Just a quick suggestion: put the 'reinvogorate' script at the end of the page so we don't have to wait for it to look at your wonderful stuff. Please?
Posted by Cliffique at September 19, 2004 10:13 PMUtterly exquisite!
Posted by Joan at September 19, 2004 10:36 PMsloping to the left? it's almost dead horizontal, if not very slightly to the right... you're seeing things.
looks to me like that "blue window" is actually open and is reflecting the sky, hence it's blueness ;)
nicely framed, though i'm curious about the windows at the top with the vents -- is that wood? if so, why so damn saturated?
thanks.
Posted by spish at September 19, 2004 10:52 PMvery pretty picture...i can see the future!
