I agree, it's wonderful. Out of curiousity, was this a handheld shot?

Great shot, love the light.

It's out to sea, btw. :)

If not for the hint of a head in the foreground, this would be entirely framable. Fantastic capture, both technically and compositionally. I agree with MikeB--perfect lighting (which I know you had nothing to do with, but your settings are right on for the given moment.

What's this? Pictures of *people*? Good stuff - a lot of your pictures are quite formal and dare I say it, sometimes a bit lifeless, but this is refreshing. My two-penneth... :)

This is a lovely photo. The fact that it is in b&w and the smile on the left persons face just makes this a better shot. Handheld or not; it is pretty sharp. Love the clothes to :) Nicely done.

great b&w. great framing, love the absence on the right. you must have set the camera on something to get such a steady shot in the dark...either that or your camera works that well in low light. my little fuji finepix 3000 wouldn't be able to handle a hand-held shot like that.

Great shot, and a great site.
Nice expression ont the bloke to the left...It`s that tiny white spot in his eye that makes the pic work...IMHO

I can't say why but I love this shot.

i think this is entirely framable no matter what. the blur of the head at the bottom of the frame only adds to the feeling of being in a theater. if it weren't there, i might not immediatly recognize the setting.

The lighting is magnificent. Beautiful photo. I can only dream of being able to take photo's like these.

Excellent point. I guess I was reacting not to the way the head adds context, but to how it distracts from an otherwise crisp capture. Now that I view it with your comment in mind, I agree--it does help me understand the setting.

I love to have shots with room for copy, that big blank black area is great.

This photo is very very good. You would make a fantasic cinematographer

Mar Adentro means sea inside if you translated it literally.

I was there as well! Too funny.

It was such a great film...

Oh, and Gael Garcia Bernal was sitting two rows behind me. Hard to keep my eyes off of him ;)

That is a great photo. I wish that head wasn't in there.
