Comments: red rocks of beaches

Beautiful! Like being on the coast! :D

A rather artificial light on those stones. Especially in comparison with the foggy background

Nice shot, the lighting levels are perfect, as far as I'm concerned.

Looks like the East coast.

i think paropaf's comment comes from being disillusioned of your greatness by the tutorial you posted today.

I'm no expert at photoshop, so probably couldn't even mimic what you've done, but thanks for posting it anyway. At least now i won't be so severly disappointed when my pics don't come out looking as good as yours....whew, it's not *just* me....!!

One of my favourite shots, including the one from yesterday. And do you notice the better the shot, the more comments you get sam? I don't understand why this only has a few so far.

At first, I thought it was giant hunks of whale meat washed up on the shore.

Then I realized that it's actually just bloody rocks.

I love the colour of the rocks

Of all your shots in my recent memory banks, this one appeals to me most. I think it's the texture of the rocks, and how the scene moves from very detailed to very soft as we go deeper in. Nicely done.

In light of yesterday's tutorial, I don't know how it's possible to have all the rocks in focus and then everything NOT in focus at the border of the rocks, maybe this is just the fog, but i don't see why the fog would start there??
Hmm, this photoshop stuff has me baffled.
I know how to use it, but I don't know HOW to use it....

Wow. Easily one of the best photos I've ever seen. The colors are perfection.

Lovely.

Check peropaf comment (comment # 2).
What I would add is that you have been close to the rocks when taking this frame. My opinion: If you have gone a few meters away to show the fog effect, then zoom (with balance between the zoom and the distance to get the widest angle possible)the picture would lose some of the details of the rocks, but will show a better fog effect. However, and without changing anything except for having greater variance in focus between the background and the rocks, you would have had the best picture.
