Comments: bed of clouds

Another beauty, Sam! You could almost get lost in the intense blueness of this sky. Sort of makes you realize the smallness of humanity in the face of creation, don't it?

Wow, now that's a sky. Great composition, which sounds odd, because it's all sky, but that's what I'm getting from it.

Wow - the blue is so deep that you could almost be looking down through the clouds to the water, or up through the clouds to an early-evening dark sky. Interesting..

Nice idea this site. Something new happening almost daily. Great photography.

A few years back we had the (then) G7 economic summit in Toronto and, aside from the frequent traffic snarls as various motorcades wound their way through the core to and from the summit, we were introduced to 24-hour helicopter surveillance by several law enforcement agencies, and the military. Choppers with spotlights scanning the city by night, Hueys with soldiers hanging out the side by day... Good times. Now we're surveilled by the media. The helicopter in this picture, however, looks from its silhouette to be Bandage-1, the air-ambulance used by our emergency services to transport intensive care patients to and fro amongst our hospital community.

If that chopper was not in the picture, I'd think this photo was taken in a bar where a man and a woman sitting in a corner facing each other, blowing and joining the smoke in the air with blues tune in the background.

This particular photograph has a more of a symbolic value to me. Simple gesture towards not the simplest fantasies of the mankind: Flying High In The Deep Blue Sky (Although Chopping not the smoothest way!). This collection plays as catalyst most days for me; today is no exception: “Look Up” you, , 9-5 ey!
BTW I read WVS in clouds/

tells me that while we might be able to fly, we're still pretty unimportant

Hamish: I'm pretty sure the ambulance helicopter is orange and blue. ( http://www.helispot.com/photos/02454.html )

From what I can see of the markings, this looks like this helicopter ( http://www.thehelicoptercompany.com/Main/Default.htm ), which happens to be operated by some friends of mine.

Either way, another great photo.

Hi....

I was in one of those helicopters the other day. I posted a few of my pics on my photoblog called "The View From Up Here". They are my August 23rd and 24th posts.

Awesome. I love how dark the blue is in this sky. Do you use a polarizing filter when you shoot?

I could loose myself in these clouds. I love it.
