feels like drinking an ice-cold glass of lemonade... the real kind... not the kind made out of powder and water....
Posted by • kandi cook • at August 13, 2004 12:50 AMIt DOES feel like lemonade! Perfect.
Posted by Laura at August 13, 2004 01:26 AMVery nice. And, actually, I live here, at York Mills :)
Posted by Ian Sobolev at August 13, 2004 01:43 AMNarrow DOF, and a presumeably low ISO setting.
Interesting effect. Not used to seeing this type of image from you. Nice work. :)
Posted by Chris at August 13, 2004 01:52 AMMaybe I am missing something. I'm disappointed with this image compared to yesterday's image, which had excellent leading lines, good tonal range and depth of field.
Posted by Mark M. Hancock at August 13, 2004 01:54 AMI love your subway shots. This one is probably my fave.
Posted by Eric at August 13, 2004 02:05 AMRailways and subways are always a good subject of photography. Although, yesterday's pic was more impressive (perhaps because we don't see similar images as often as a subway..)
Love this shot. I immediately knew it was the Lomo, which I guess you have to change your opinion-gears in order to appreciate. Now, with yesterday's shot, my wife insists that you have lied and secretly hide a medium format camera in your bag. (insert laugh track here).
Posted by Mark at August 13, 2004 07:08 AMi love the saturation of colour in this picture. it feels like the cover for an old school rock'n'roll band or something... like a Bruce Springsteen album cover. awesome.
Posted by maria at August 13, 2004 08:33 AMKiller sense of movement, almost a textbook study in sing point perspective as well.

Posted by chemical imbalance at August 13, 2004 09:20 AMHmmm. Looks like a lot my subway shots which never see the light of day. Here in NYC flash and tripods are forbidden from the subways.
Posted by Frank at August 13, 2004 02:21 PMNice photo. Subway shots can be pretty cliche at times... but the vibrancy of this one really makes it much more interesting. Great colors, and I really dig the fluorescent light and its reflection on the floor.
Posted by East3rd at August 13, 2004 03:02 PMI could have sworn I saw someone that looked like you on the Finch train. Do you ever use the Younge Line?
Anyways, this pic is pretty grainy for ur standards... hrmmm...
Posted by Raffi at August 13, 2004 07:54 PMnice shot, lomo+agfa :-)
If i were you I'd choose a 3:2 format instead of square, to give it more moving sence.
And I name it LOMO'NADE !
Posted by ila at August 13, 2004 08:48 PMlove the color, love the perspective an movement... really nice
