Comments: wire in perspective

Stunning composition, as usual. Geometry always seems to me to be the predominant theme in your work (probably, though, that's just what attracts me most about it). It would be nice to see you go a bit more experimental with it - though you're hardly boring us now!

Shallow depth of field always looks so strange on a computer screen - i feel like something about this photograph is undermined by it, and wish i could see a print.

"You are heavy on wire" [H. Kohl] ^^

Well its 11. here in Aberdeen, Scotland and wanted to see what new perspective on the world you are offering up and today it’s brick + metal + sky, and sunny that’s nice. As Q says “stunning composition, as usual.“ Always intriguing compositions, often with a feeling of both stillness and tension. There is something about the way you ‘capture’ views that has me feeling you practically use you're entire body as a camera. Well done again and thanks for the view.

Great perspective and colour, once again Sam. In some ways it looks like a horizontal floor with mysterious trap doors! The wire seems so alive, and inviting us to follow it up over the roof line!

I feel your site has become considerably slow. Are you aware of this problem?

Nice 'arched-back-neck' perspective, though I wish more of the wire could be in focus. Beautiful saturation in the colours..

I like the idea, but i don't like where the focus is. My eye keeps being drawn to the top of the building, rather than the part which is in focus.

yes! i was just thinking that I would rather see the background in focus.

Great picture! Wonder how the effect (via increased depth of field) would change by using 1/15th and F22?

Repunzel, Repunzel, let down your..... wire?

I kind of like how the focus is not at the top of the building. This is because naturally our eyes are drawn upwards however in this case we are forced to look back down where sometimes things get unnoticed. Also this is exactly how I would see the building since my eyesight is not very good :p. Love the colour and composition.
