Comments: yellow streetcar

there's a great '50's-"leave it to beaver" - feel to this...nostalgia! and the composition is lovely.

what is the product being advertised?

Posted by nancina at July 28, 2004 04:01 AM

:))))) it looks like my granny's table spread in the 1350's, nice one.

How pretty!

Great shot Sam. Well seen. Those streetcars always kinda startle me when they pass.

To Nancinda: The product is a cell phone company.

great composition, great color, great photo!!!!!!!!

I find it interesting that everyone thinks these
streetcars are 'painted'. The decorative product
promotions are actually thin layers of plastic, easily peeled off when the promotion is completed, causing no harm to the exterior of the car. However, I never noticed this before climbing aboard 'Fee of $50 applies. Subject to
Fido's Fair Use Policy': 1/3 up from bottom left
of frame. Did you see it, Sam?

Posted by linda at July 28, 2004 07:20 AM

So it's a Fido Cellular Ad then.

Nice shot Sam.

~xlnt color and mix of details in the frame!~

Posted by btezra at July 28, 2004 10:49 AM

yeah, they're thin plastic stickers sort of. I remember they tried to wallpaper the stations with them, but people peeled them off.

Posted by Emily at July 28, 2004 11:10 AM

This would make pretty wallpaper!

Posted by Bob at July 28, 2004 11:25 AM

that one lady at top left looks about ready to shoot herself.

Posted by alkhan at July 28, 2004 08:50 PM

Yeah lol at Union Station everything in there is themed MSN Premium. Everything. It actually sickens me, being a Rogers customer myself. lol.

Compare this shot to that famous Robert Frank photo of the bus in the States with its segregated passengers gazing, full of ennui, out of its dusky windows, and we understand why Sam's Toronto is so very fabulous.

Now this is cool. Instantly reminded me of this picture at http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/archives/0407101014_clean.php . Very nice composition.
