Comments: yellow on grey

great vision, as always. you made me love photography with what you put on your frames! simple, colorful, meaningful, hormonic and adictive.

beautiful... and simple

No understimating your skill, but DRebel is kicking my real butt... it looks like it's a fine camera

Beautiful, did you grey out the rest of the objects or is it the natural colour? great photo in either case.

I love the selctiv colour. Great shot Sam

Posted by rannie at July 15, 2004 12:04 PM

Interesting composition, well done. Did you desaturate or is there actually no colour in the original image (aprt from the yellow)?

Posted by James at July 15, 2004 12:23 PM

powerful, very awesome. How'd you manage to get that level with the pole..?

Posted by josh at July 15, 2004 12:47 PM

another example of how you turn the ordinary into the extraordinary

Posted by mockingbird at July 15, 2004 06:01 PM

I like the fact that there's some subtle colour in the rest of the picture...

Kudos must go to the industrial designer/engineers who made the sign though. I'm a big fan of beauty through practicality. Look how each of the elements lines up with each other and the curve, forming a wonderful counterpoint to the support pole. You've taken a photo of a work of incidental art. The person who installed the sign must have had pride in the work they were doing... I hope so anyway.

Posted by Aegir at July 15, 2004 06:15 PM

wow...that's good

Posted by Todd at July 15, 2004 06:20 PM

It depend of us to find the color on gray atmospher.
Elegant, beautiful and hopeful!!!

Posted by effat at July 15, 2004 08:54 PM

Great shot! Wonderful use of colors to make the sign stand out.

Posted by jreinds at July 15, 2004 09:56 PM

There isn't really any beauty in the industrial design. Not to say that it's practical either. If it was to be practical, I should be able to tell if it says King or Jarvis wherever I am standing.

Posted by Boreo at July 15, 2004 10:19 PM

Absolutely beautiful. That's all there is to say... :)

such a perfect photo

Posted by andyclymer at July 15, 2004 10:29 PM

The weather here is so berzerk right now and I love how you've captured it.

Posted by Danielle at July 15, 2004 11:00 PM

This is a nothing shot. It is the rear end of traffic signs. But as a story it speaks volumes: I love it. Its the behind the scene of daily life, its us--some of us--like the picture walking into the future backwards.

Posted by Zee at July 16, 2004 12:02 AM

WOW....NICE! This image made me add you to my favorites list. Was this PhotoshopED???

Posted by mt at July 16, 2004 12:09 PM

Most excellent! I love this because it's "behind the scenes" of most stupid photographs of random stop lights.

Posted by Lorin Halpert at July 16, 2004 09:26 PM

It is amazing as I guess it is not Photoshop enhanced!

Posted by Sadegh at July 18, 2004 01:23 PM

hehehe that my college at king and jarvis, may be you can try different shot in rain or even in sunshine ray of light. I like this kinda;this picture it remindes of gray day going to class :) keep up good work

Posted by sahand at July 19, 2004 06:03 PM
