Posted by TJ at July 11, 2004 07:24 AMThose are some nice carvings. Must indeed have taken some time.
Posted by Rob Mientjes at July 11, 2004 11:26 AMI've seen these carvings before. A homeless man carves them. I remember last year they werent in the state that they are now. What's interesting is that I never noticed the wavy clouds in blue until this photograph you posted here. He's a really talented man who appreciates a sandwich when offered.
I thought I was the only one who noticed them. You found a spot that has many meanings to different people.
Congratulations.
These photos will never seize to amaze me.

Posted by bob at July 11, 2004 04:41 PMI walk by this everyday on my way to work. I've seen the homeless man at work on it I'm not sure but I think it is still a work in progress. I find I have started using it as a land mark when getting my bearings in the city.

Incredible, im amazed others have noticed this too. I've watched him work on this carving on and off for some time.
Quite the interesting group, one of them is quite an avid reader.
