And funnily enough today's Photo Friday theme is... ;]

Those look more like waves than clouds (top-most photo)... nice!

That top one is stunning, the clouds look like ocean waves. Wish we got clouds like that in the UK.

I was driving home in that last night and wondering if you'd be out taking pictures of it. Lovely!

The top one reminds me of a giant zebra!

I took a few photos last night as well after the storm. A massive rainbow arced the sky. Mine didn't show up as sharp and clear as these.

My father is a part time art teacher at a high school, and he only teaches people that he thinks is "worth it". Whenever one of his students finishes a piece, and he thinks its brilliant, he would rant on and on about the ingenious collaboration of the colours and textures. I told him to take a look at these two photos, and he thinks the bottom one is the best, aside from the previous comments on the 'striped' picture on the top. To sum it up, he thinks the various types of blue make the whole thing look like it's under water. The way it could look under water, but in fact it is in the atmosphere makes my father think it is a masterpiece. The only thing he thinks is bad about it is that the buildings are disrupting the picture.

Yes, it was amazing. I knew that you were out too. A photoblogger couldn’t miss that opportunity. I also took a few images after the storm, but I think photos aren't enough to really show what we saw last night.

I think the contrast between the cloud formations and the dark buildings below is effective in conveying a heavenly feel. Almost feels like there's a black-out in the city. What I like the most about these pics is the painterly watercolour quality of the sky. Beutiful.

I was trying to take pictures but i couldnt get my camera to cooperate. All the shots were blurry.

These are awsome shots, but i was hoping you'd get shots of the moment when the sky was all peach-ish purple, with the sun coming through in some spots. It was quite a sight. (then again im a little bit north of downtown toronto so maybe that didnt happen downtown)

OMG! The blue one is so stunning. there is so much depth and texture in the sky, it looks like it was painted with layers and layers. This is so beautiful!

Wow. Just went to an exhibit yesterday called "Wolkenbilder" or "Cloud Images", with lots of old painters' (Turner, Constable, etc.) cloud work. These would fit wright in there. Lovely.

The top one looks like there is a massive hand above the clouds!!
wow!

much as I adored the wave pattern clouds you posted shots of a few months back, i actually like the bottom photo here better than the top one, under the wierd wave blanket revisited. love it.
