GREAT & GREAT

Posted by Roozbeh at June 16, 2004 03:39 AM

Spooky. I like it.

Was the light source the moon? Any filters or post-processing applied to get the strange colour profile here?

Posted by ArC at June 16, 2004 04:00 AM

great photo. I like a lot the white light on the wall on the right, and that kind of yellow in the window...
may I use this as a desktop? ;)

Gloomy, Creepy, Scary.

I wouldn't want to be there during the day, let alone after dark.

Posted by qoJ at June 16, 2004 08:46 AM

25 seconds - that is one steady tripod baby! Fantastic shot Sam. Couldn't be lit better by a Hollywood stage crew. Congratulations on one of your best!

unforgetable shot, well done Sam. it looks like a dream

Posted by Reza at June 16, 2004 12:41 PM

Huh, wierd...my first reaction was "that's an interesting 3d render". Dunno what it is, but the lighting gives it an almost "unreal" quality.

Posted by Kurt N. at June 16, 2004 12:43 PM

One of your best. Gritty, dark, perfect lighting

Posted by Jeremy at June 16, 2004 12:46 PM

You must have felt so giddy when you put this one up, bud. Outstanding!

I think is my new favorite of yours. :-)

Posted by Tudy at June 16, 2004 02:23 PM

Great. Encourages us all not to be afraid of long exposures.

Posted by JamesK at June 16, 2004 03:08 PM

This really captures the beauty of photography, doesn't it? It shows us things around us that we can't catch with the naked eye.

Posted by David at June 16, 2004 03:41 PM

Posted by Adh3 at June 16, 2004 04:22 PM

I probably don't have the eye for it , this doesn't hit me as it does the rest of you. but i do appreciate the length of the exposure ! ;)

Posted by Behr.o0o.z at June 16, 2004 05:03 PM

When I saw this, I couldn't stop laughing! :) Man, you are full of surprises. This photo is great! Made me refreshed after tiresome hours of writing thesis.

Posted by Roozbeh at June 16, 2004 10:26 PM

it would be even better if an angry man is sitting there. it would give a more natural but mysterious mood. nice 3d render!

Posted by Boreo at June 16, 2004 11:20 PM

spooky. wish i could saw a ghost there :p the light makes the pic alive.

Posted by nunique at June 16, 2004 11:23 PM

now THIS is what i'm talkin about! no more of that torn package of sugar stuff. anyone can go down to the local wendy's with a disposable camera and procure work comparable to March 25ths-- or whatever it was. but THIS is a thing of beauty. when i first scanned through a bunch of your pictures i thought you were a very consistant reliable source of visual beauty in terms of photographs. then i stumbled on that sugar package and realized u were more dynamic than i originally though....

nice pic here, though.

Posted by chemical imbalance at June 17, 2004 04:57 PM
