What are the yellow X illuminated signs? Do they light up when someone is in the crosswalk?
Posted by heidi at March 29, 2004 03:22 AMSunday nights are always depressing.
Heidi - Aren't those neat? You press the button, and then the little traffic-light thingie to the right of the X blinks, and people have to stop for you. Toronto is the most pedestrian friendly city I've ever lived in.
Posted by Sage Tyrtle at March 29, 2004 05:28 AMSage, you should try Halifax - cars actually stop for you if you jaywalk!
Posted by cmb at March 29, 2004 06:51 AMSunday nights are definitely depressing. I hate them!
Posted by Julian at March 29, 2004 07:09 AMWhen I was single I hated Sundays. Everyone was home with their sig. other. No clubs to go to. I was always alone. Now that I'm married I just hate the thought of going to work tommorrow. I'm such a pessimist. :)
Posted by Con at March 29, 2004 08:06 AMThe only thing worse than a Sunday Night is a Monday Morning- Blagh!
Posted by Pete at March 29, 2004 08:07 AMI like the quiet and solitude of sunday night. it's like the world is taking a big breath getting ready for the next move and you get to be a part of that moment of silence and make it yours. sometimes it makes me giddy ;)
Posted by adtb at March 29, 2004 10:51 AMI'm definetly anti-Sunday nights, especially when Sunday night plans get cancelled... but anyways, interesting photo.
Posted by Emma at March 29, 2004 12:42 PMSo very Twin Peaks.
Posted by sarah at March 29, 2004 04:02 PMI have to agree with everyone else, Sunday nights blow... and here I thought it was only me...
Great colors in this photo by the way, I can't believe it was taken on a Sunday night!

Posted by Qiang at March 29, 2004 06:10 PMi just recently spoke to a best friend abt how sundays were so depressing.
if i were to kill myself, would it be on a sunday?
i doubt so.
regardless the day, suicide is sad itself.

Posted by Qiang at March 31, 2004 08:31 PMoh wow. this photograph is taken almost right in front of where i used to live. such a great neighbourhood... i wish i never had to move!! :)
Posted by monika at April 2, 2004 06:17 PMah come on sundays are (SUNNY days)just breath another to come YET!
Posted by sahand at April 10, 2004 02:25 AMOh wow, I always thought it was just me. I always found Sundays depressing. It was because "school tomorrow" or "back to work tomorrow", and all the stores closed early, and all my favorite little family-run restaurants would be closed. Huh, I thought it was just me.
I REALLY love your photoblog. I miss Toronto so much I swear it's depressing me. :..(
