Great pic. I was in Hamburg a few months ago, didn't see the guy...
Greetz from Holland
Yes! I remember that man well. For a good ten minutes I was wondering how he got out there. My german friends had a good laugh at my expense.
Posted by kat at March 27, 2004 05:44 AMGosh, he really does make you do a double take... a "what tha?!?"...
Posted by Jinky at March 27, 2004 07:18 AMWow! Didn't figure that one out 'till I read the text.
Posted by nantel at March 27, 2004 07:21 AMThis lays to waste the saying,

Posted by Jeff at March 27, 2004 06:22 PMu sure he's not real or just plain insane?!
Posted by angela at March 28, 2004 02:17 AMOf course it's not a man; it's a buoy ;o)
Posted by Jake Howlett at March 28, 2004 04:15 PMbuoy: a term for a nautical marker, oh those crazy germans.
Posted by Paradyne at March 28, 2004 06:18 PMI am coming here every day. I like vertical shot but it isn't proper for your web log, because we can't see whole frame at the same time. So if you want to show us a vertical shot; probably smaller size may be is better to look the shot without scrolling the page.
Posted by Reza at March 28, 2004 07:00 PMIt wasn't a real man??
Posted by RegineGrace at March 29, 2004 12:30 AMamazing shot!
how funny.. the first thing I thought was did he swim out there in his clothes? He doesn't look wet... very cool photo.
Posted by Kim at March 29, 2004 11:42 PMVery nice photo! Best of the week! It is so clear and powerfull idea! Great!
Posted by Andriy at March 30, 2004 04:10 AMGreat shot! Nice to see the town where I live in this photo weblog. There are lots of those "men" all around the Elbe and the lake (the Alster)...

In fact, this picture has helped me make up my mind. I am Hamburg bound.

AMAZING. this one is by far my favorite, im going to pretend like its a real man though. how amazing would that be if he was. it symbolizes so muchabout life, maybe thats why they put him there!
