Comments: dark cn tower

I walked down that street so many times, and I've never noticed how great it looks. wow!

I've always disliked that goofy building you can see below the tower in this shot. it makes it seem like the tower grows out of its roof, instead the graceful hyperbola it really is!

I dunno how I found this site, and I hope you don't mind random commenters.

I'm a huge fan of taking pictures of the tower from different locations in TO. I think you've found the best one.

The sky has beautiful colors. It has very interesting yellows in it.

I've been right there before, under slightly different lighting conditions: http://macdaraconroy.com/photos/toronto/toronto0206.html

MacDara, yours is slightly different (other than the obvious ways) in that I don't see a tree in the right hand side! Was it just out of view? Comparing the two pics, it doesn't seem like it should have been. Maybe they transplanted it in since you took your picture? So strange!

This pic really gives you an idea of how big that Tower really is: The perspective that it forces, and the weight that it carries both seem to have come from another picture. One from much closer, or with a different lens or focal distance. But knowing that that's the real building, as it stands over Metro Hall (for the person above), makes it that much more impressive.

Another great image, dude!

Mine was taken almost exactly two years ago (15th March 2002 to be exact) so that might well explain things. I've been pining to return ever since; I was only there for six days and loved every minute of it.

Because of the color of the sky, this picture has so much depth. Awesome shot!

Great shot! I have never been there, but you make me feelthat I have.

Nice shot. Been 4yrs since I was up on top of the tower. The glass floor they have to walk on is truely a trip, I loved it.

Good, the frame is. But it's not an awesome pic.
Sky and clouds bring CN tower out but buildings and street might be lighter to make a great shot.
Sam can do better, i'm sure.
Go and see the Cn tower at this location http://www.wickens.ca/sm/archives/000621.html
you'll see something more there.

This is a very pretty photo. I like.

macdara: i think you may have just been standing a little bit closer to the tower and in front of the tree in question so that it didn't show in the picture, whereas the tree is in front of sam and falls into the frame.

Another amazing shot. I love it.

Oh now I know what I've been missing. Toronto Downtown cos I'm stuck in boring Windsor. Nice photo of the tower, though it's really amazing how the sky looks blue and yellow!

good shot... good perspective.. the building reinforces the perspective.

you captured the beautiful of that street well... oh and to macdara... you were about 5 steps further forward in your shot.. your lens just isnt as good as sams that why yours looks different. that trees been there for ages. you just took your photo infront of it. the lens warped your perspective.

I agree you can be more artistic than this. but the photo is great i like it.
