Comments: giant icicles of niagara

I prefer the detail of the shot, I feel the power of the floods under the ice. :) Beautiful shot obviously

Brrrrrrrrr ............. too cold and icy..... but lovely shot.........

Stunning. It's great to see pictures of what you would normally never normally see, and if were to ever go to Niagara Falls I wouldn’t choose to go when it's so cold so a frozen waterfall is not something a London resident like myself will ever see very often. A good choice of subject.

So beautiful.

Woo! more shots of my hometown!
I worked in tourism for several years as a teen, and saw "The Falls" many thousands of times over that period. But even so, when I go back, The Falls have a beauty and a majesty that still impresses me.

Overall site comment: I like your eye. Keep up the excellent work!

It is awesome !
I visited Niagara falls during the summer. I never ever think it would be so beautiful even in the winter. It is fantastic.

AMAZING!

The second pic, its stunning. A real work of art, the pic, and the nature, both. Thank you.

awesome photos. I prefer the closer one. also great that it is a b&w

Posted by Liisa at February 17, 2004 05:23 PM

These photos are horrible. They are too over exposed. A little happy with the curves in PS aren't we?

Posted by Jason at February 17, 2004 07:16 PM

They talk about glory of nature and our sweet beautiful life that we are part of it.

Posted by Jamshid at February 17, 2004 08:18 PM

I prefer high contrast too. (though I see no over-exposure except in the sky) this is an style, not anything else. :-)

Posted by ila at February 18, 2004 04:59 AM

about jason. if the darks are black, there was no over-exposure, duhh. Perhaps he can adjust his monitor--or go take his own photo, hmm? Fabulous, thank you.

Posted by Loweed at February 18, 2004 10:57 PM

LOL Jason turn down the brightness on ur monitor...the contrast looks perfect to me. These photos are spectactular! =)

Beautiful photos...every single one. But you didn't need to be told that, did you? I want your eye...I have yet to develop one of my own.

Posted by Maeve at February 21, 2004 12:56 AM

The second picture is simply marvelous. It must be really very cold out there.

Posted by Muk at February 24, 2004 04:19 PM

that close up looks surreal, awesome capture.

I have been there during the summer, but i would have never guessed that it gets so icy during the winter. It must have gotten really cold to freeze the water, it moves SO fast!
