really beautiful!!! :)
Posted by TJ at February 15, 2004 08:21 AMI agree with everyone else that this is a beautiful image - excellent detail, beautiful colours - but what really makes it for me is the wispy white clouds visible in the middle-left of the image. Mainly, I think, because it gives an indication of the 'movement' of a sunset; i.e. it's sunset 'here on the ground' but still broad daylight a little closer to the sun. Hopefully that makes some sense ;-)
Posted by djn1 at February 15, 2004 06:53 PMWhat you said makes perfect sense. Many times I look up at the sky and envy the lightness. I sometimes want to see it from the perspective of the clouds and not from with in the gloominess in the city caused by the shadows of the objects on the horizon. But in this shot You have captured beauty within that contrast between the light and the shadow of the environment. Well Done! BTW I voted for you in the web bloggies and the Forbes web site. Keep up the good work.
If you want beautiful sunsets, go down to Arizona during monsoon season (late summer). Rich oranges, reds, purples, pinks, peaches, blues...and the most brilliant clouds to match.
