Comments: macro insect

hey sam, nice one. i looked here: http://www.canadianbiodiversity.mcgill.ca/english/species/insects/lepidoptera.htm but to no avail. the pictures are terrible (or maybe I'm just spoiled by ddoi) and the subjects all looked mangled. maybe you can better identify the little guy yourself.

my guess: burrowing webworm (acrolophus propinquus)

Hey

Good Job in that Forbes photoblog review.
Keep up the amazing work

been admiring your work... and the detail in this one is incredible. but i have bad news... check your pantry (or where ever you keep dry goods), 'cuz i'm pretty sure you've found an indian meal moth, and once they take over, they're hard to get rid of!

better google it... i don't want to go into details here, although i will say don't get into chemical warfare... just seal all food in solid airtight containers. these little fellas can chew through plastic bags no problem.

if it is one, amazing that it sat still long enough for you to capture it!
