Comments: City Hall

Color!

I vote for the color version ... Just curious, the birds seem to be in perfect spots, was it a single capture or a blend of multiple exposures?

Which do I prefer? I'll decide the second the crack video surfaces, if it exists at all.

Definitely colour! The black and white is too gloomy - though, as you imply, there is a black cloud hovering over City Hall at the moment.

I much prefer the color. And I like the desaturated color. It reminds me of when the building was new.

It's incredible that they're so different. Beautiful picture; I prefer the B&W.

Black and white suits the moment better: the seagulls look ominous -- perhaps vultures in disguise.

Despite the drama of the B&W I do believe I prefer the natural feel of the color.
Really nice shot with the birds.

Really enjoy your photos.

Since you asked... I like both versions but the black and white is more dramatic. The shadows are a little crushed for my taste but perhaps that is what provides the drama.

Very much like your use of wide angle (apparent) optical corrections in many of your photos. Thanks for sharing.

For stark reality B & W. The color cuts out the wires, which distract, but both are winners. Like both equally well, B & W for mood, color for relaxation.

*)nice funny expressions you have in english :-)

I don`t know how you this:) it`s a beautiful shot. On my Mac, BW looks better. On my PC, color.

I prefer the B&W version. Then again I'm partial to B&Ws. Love the timing with the birds.

Love the back lit feel on the BW version....
I prefer the bw version..

B&W looks ominous, which is fitting for the scandal-prone City Hall.

Color is way better.

I like Black and White.

The photographer in me prefers the colour version. The ultra-left-wing radical (US; what you Canadians would call centre-left) in me prefers the B & W.

the composition of the picture
(and the architecture!)
conveys
freedom
mutuality
community
alliance
solidarity
coherence

in the long run : COLOR!

It's an apple/orange choice; depends on the intended use of the image.
Color is like an architect's model; B&W (Ansel Adams/Wratten A appearance) is more like an artist rendering.
To hang on my wall? B&W

I prefer the black and white processed version.

The gloomy atmosphere is superb!

Colour! Toronto needs colour.
