I wish my Mom could have seen this. We shopped at Loblaws in the late 60's. It was her favorite store. Went out of business in early 70's. Drat!

Great comment Barbara... invitation for an eye-walk indeed! Everything seems strangely crisp for f4... the magic of low-res perhaps? Love this pic and all the texture and layer and colour.

Speaking of colour... the orange/red corporate colour seems such a bold choice for a food market. I'm sure it'd be exactly the opposite of what "experts" would recommend.

Beautiful Picture. We actually visited this place while on vacation in Toronto. Your earlier photos of it had me intrigued. It's a great place. Thanks for revealing places to visit in Toronto with your great photography! :)

Nice image. I've been to that Loblaws a few times and I find the orange floor kind of hard to take when you are actually walking in the store.

For those who really want their nostalgia rekindled, head up to the "new" arena at the top of the building (it can be accessed via the Ryerson Athletic Centre, which is right beside the Loblaws store). They have preserved the old Maple Leaf Gardens roof....brings back a lot of memories for those of a certain vintage...

the former Maple Leaf Gardens redone in Edmonton Oiler colours. Makes me happy. ;)
