This caught me by suprise. On first look it looked like a B/W of sand. Then I read the comment about it being cold. The great focus makes the snow crystals look like sand.

This pic is an excellent example of how shadows can distort on an undulating surface, one which the 'did the Apollo moon landings really happen' mob should have a look at.
