The building is more than antique. Once elegant, now tired. Good shot for history.

This picture is practically a novel. Like all your pictures that actually show a face, it is full of humanity, and those two faces inhabit the picture and the building like a hand inhabits a glove.

Telling the story of that storefront and those windows and that roof, and the plant urns and the basketweave brickwork and the water damage, and the dance picture and the lampshades, would take these two fellows a long time, but they would love to show it all to you and to tell the story. Even though the bicycle person and the dumpy hydrant seem not to have been interested, the story would reward the listener, and a deciphering of the palimpsest of the awning would reveal that it has all happened before in a different way, maybe in different languages.

You should go in. Don't count on leaving any time soon.
