Looks like Portland Maine when it snows. I need to get out more, but dang it's been cold.

Sam - how do you get out when it's cold? My camera manual says don't use the battery below 30 degrees. Is that just the manufacturer's "safe" recommendations?

Looks like Boston when it snows.

I love this picture. things kind of slow down when it snows here, especially at night....almost peaceful. Queen street doesn't look so trendy in this pic, more down to earth..nice to see some colour.

Yeah, not trying to "cast" you (we don't all pick potatos and eat lobster here in Maine), but I just assumed that you must be about as cold as we are - which lately has been ^#%$^%$@^#@ cold.

I remembered that day's entry, but didn't know if you shot in the v.cold often and if so, do you notice much performance difference (power, shutter speed). Tankfully, we don't have to worry about the film's silver grain and compensate for that in cold weather, although the efficacy of the CCD could theoretically be affected.

Sorry, just random thoughts.

Cold weather warm color, nice picture.

Nice shot, queen street is definitely still trendy ;)

I live a block west of where you're standing and it's snowing and overcast right now. A few days ago I took this panaorama (http://www.rigent.com/junk/toronto_steaming_small.jpg) from my window, it was -24 at the time but a beautiful clear day. When I looked at the city all I could see was rising steam/smoke as Toronto's boilers worked overtime to keep people warm, the city as an engine.

Sometimes it takes the eyes of someone else to notice just how beautiful things can get. The picture is just down the street from my girlfriend's place, and i usually hurry along this part (especially now since its colder), and not really pay attention to it. But it is beautiful, isnt it? So beautiful that i put it on my girlfriends desktop, so she can get a slightly different view of that area once in a while.

Man, how can you live with that cold... Here in Madrid, Spain, we think VERY cold is around 5 degrees...

Still, I really miss snow. Itīs been long since I last saw the city covered with snow (two years, I think). It would be nice to see it white again. Great shot!

Pages rules, got some Salinger books from there.

BTW, I forgot to tell you this, you might already know, but there's a nice little shop a few blocks north of Yonge and Eglington (called Galley Dessinee, i think) that has a lot of Tintin stuff. It's sort of Toronto's unofficial Tintin store.

It's way over-priced (she orders them in bulk and sells them for least 200-300% more that what she pays for) but it's still a joy to look at all the posters and stuff. Got my 2004 Mini agenda from there.

some times trendy is tiresome...he he...
I'm more of an annex type girl...but still a great pic. Salinger books! cool! Franny and Zooey yay!
