Are you familiar with the work of Caspar David Friedrich? I have always thought that you had something in common with him, not just for the similitude of some of your photos with his pictures but because of the feeling I think they cause. Today's picture is admirably similar to "Monk by the Sea", which also expresses the same feeling that you describe. Great photo.
