Congratulations on having survived the reception line along a Red Carpet and coming back with another great photograph to show for your time and patience. The pushing and shoving from among the faithful that ensues when a celebrity of this magnitude appears makes photography difficult enough. Then toss in the thug autograph azzis pushing themselves and their wares in front of you and your camera’s lens and flash and things can go truly wrong very quickly. (Guys, seriously, there has to be a better way to make a living than bagging autographs!) And, if dealing with all this isn’t enough, you’re photographing the back of every cell phone, point & shoot, and now, astonishingly, iPads of fans seeking to preserve their moment in the maelstrom. (This reminds me of people who bring signs and banners to stadiums to hold up during key moments of games all to the chagrin of those sitting in the ten rows behind them.)

In any event, keep up all the great work and especially your coverage of the Film Festival. I haven’t been able to make it to Toronto or TIFF in some time and I appreciate the opportunity to visit through your photography.
