It's a pity that Jack Layton was not a Roman Catholic.
If he were, he would now be on the road to Beautification and Sainthood, right behind Pope John Paul and Mother Teresa.

Very moving. Can't imagine this kind of spontaneous outpouring for an USian politician.

Thanks so much for posting these, Sam. I visited Nathan Phillips Square yesterday and was so moved and overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and love towards Jack Layton, and I wished so badly that I had a better camera with which to capture this temporary memorial. Well done, as always!
