So sharp, so eye-catching. Nice angle!
Posted by Joseph at July 25, 2011 02:18 AMTerrific B&W shot and a great composition. Love the juxtaposition.
Posted by Nik at July 25, 2011 04:00 AMBest picture I've ever seen of this building.
Posted by Jeremy Sale at July 25, 2011 08:40 AMinteresting convergence of angles, whilst the atmosphere mobilizes ominously above. there's something very gothic about this one.
Posted by chemical imbalance at July 25, 2011 10:02 AMGreat shot Sam! I follow your daily photo. It really inspires me to see how you can make an ordinary subject extraordinary. Thanks.
Posted by Pierre Falzon at July 25, 2011 10:12 AMWow, Sam, it looks like two buildings that collided during a freak wrinkle in a time dimension! The only thing the two wings have in common is the strong black cornice line. A color photo wouldn't have had nearly the drama that your B&W one does. Your angle on the angles is perfect.

Posted by John Robinson at July 25, 2011 10:27 AMThe joining of roofs here is bizarre looking. I can imagine many water/ice problems in that joining. But it does make an interesting abstract of sorts. I can't say I like some of the modern changes to old structures. The pressure for space is causing some odd happenings. You're doing a good job of cataloging some of them.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at July 25, 2011 11:14 AMThe angles and different shades of grey make this very interesting.
Posted by Don at July 25, 2011 11:40 AMLove it in b&w, really emphasizes the contrast in textures and brings out the detail in the old brick work.
Posted by Deborah at July 25, 2011 01:42 PMSurreal. Did you paste three images together?
Posted by Kevin at July 25, 2011 02:14 PMThat's a great shot. A fresh perspective. Nicely seen.
Posted by Dave at July 25, 2011 08:33 PMAmazing. I've stared at this building many times, but never could have captured it the way you have.
Posted by Kikipotamus at July 25, 2011 09:35 PMGreat shot, I visited this place a couple of weeks ago and it is summed up beautifully in this pic.
Wish I was still in Canada!
Posted by Adam Webb at July 26, 2011 07:33 AMExcellent composition and a great playing of textures
