I love the low angle, and the shallow depth of field. The dandelion sticking up is great too.
Posted by mark / one way photo at June 4, 2011 01:41 AMHahaha!! The child-hood memories of running as fast as I could through fields of these where I grew up just came flooding back. Thank you so much for this!!
Posted by Mark at June 4, 2011 05:36 AMAn awesome amount of blooming dandelions. Thought I really don't like them in my garden at home, this is very nice to look at.
Posted by Uwe at June 4, 2011 07:18 AMAh! the first crop.
In Lancashire, where Shakespeare comes from, they call these "chimney-sweepers". They're called "golden lads", at the yellow stage.
Golden lads and lasses must
like chimney-sweepers, come to dust.
(Cymbeline)
You should go back at the end of the day and shoot them with back-lighting. They're truly ethereal.

Posted by Jegg at June 4, 2011 10:23 PMThese damned noxious weeds are taking over the Province.
Let's change the name of these weeds from dandelions to "Bloomin' McGuinty's" in honour of our beloved Premier who banned the use of herbicides, and let them replace the Trillium as the official provincial "flower."
when I was a child I was very keen on blowing dandelions! Thanks for reminding me this memory!
