he doesn't look all that convinced that is the right day. I love the shot

Posted by betharr at May 7, 2011 07:00 AMI would figure that if Christ was coming back, they'd look a little more cheerful! Either way, I'll have to make sure I'll schedule the day off work grab a lawn-chair, get over to Yonge-Dundas square and watch the show! Hahaha!
Nice shot by the way.
Do you think he will still be wearing the hoody on the 22nd?
It might make a good photo project to hang out with one of these groups on the 21st to document the rapture or at least their reaction as the day wears on.
Posted by Rob Prouse at May 7, 2011 08:11 AMYou'd think they would be happier about it!
cool. i enjoy the expressions.
this looks like it's not a crazy religious group that really thinks the end is on May 21st....but rather a type of promotion for some sort of revival meeting or big church event or something like that. topic will be on the Bibilical end times.
Posted by tai at May 7, 2011 01:32 PMIt might as well be, though the Bible says, as I recall, that the Lord himself does not know the day.
Hope to see you all on the other side, especially you, Sam. I like your eye and sense of humour.
This is a serious portrait.
Love the shot! They hit Philadelphia too: http://picturephilly.com/2011/03/21/judgement-day/
I'd love to see their reaction when Christ hasn't returned.
Mwooohahaha. Great!
The guy on the right looks like he is somehow forced to hold that signboard :D
Posted by Eva at May 7, 2011 04:35 PMRead about this somewhere. The founder of the Evangelical movement had made this prediction for a prior date and retracted afterwards saying it was a mistake. Perhaps he's right this time, about the Rapture --who knows. Great shot!
Posted by Luis at May 7, 2011 06:03 PMGrumpy, grumpy.
Posted by mary at May 7, 2011 07:36 PMIt is my contention that if The Second Coming is truly scheduled for May 21, 2011, then we should all be as nervous and frightened as these two dudes appear - especially the one on the right.
We've all got less than two weeks to repent... this is no laughing matter.
Harold Camping was wrong about September 6, 1994 and he is wrong about May 21st too. He's a crackpot.
