"Since spring is nowhere to be seen in Toronto, ..."
Nice try(grin), but I saw good-quality daffodils in TWO gardens on Neilson Drive in Etobicoke, (Bloor, west of #427) yesterday morning.
I feel confident that I am not alone in spotting these bobbing heralds.

Beautiful photo, wish it was in colour!

........ but Sam, these aren't green!? ;)
....and all the more striking, because of that!!
Posted by Linda at April 29, 2011 10:48 AMAmazing shot, I've been trying out black and white on flowers lately myself, but not to such a good result as this!
Posted by Kieran at April 29, 2011 12:16 PMI had to take that route last year when I visited a conservatory. I should have done that again this year because spring was slow coming here in Pennsylvania, USA also. I've since been shooting spring color wherever I can find it! Beautiful flower shot and great tones.
Posted by David Guidas at April 29, 2011 07:06 PMYou're jerkin' us around, Sam. He, he. Nice shot in green or grey.

Posted by LuiZ FernandoS at May 1, 2011 06:15 PMbeautiful shot! I just find it interesting that you should mention that its so hard to see green around and then the shot is in Black and white:-)
